Search Bar

The Search Bar is available in both Local Mode and Endpoints Mode of the Autonomi extension, offering a convenient way to browse the network.

What is the Search Bar?

The Search Bar is located at the top of every page loaded from the Autonomi network. It allows you to directly browse valid Autonomi URLs.

Download Button

The Search Bar includes a download button that enables you to save the current file:

• If the page displays a single file, clicking the download button will download that file directly.
• If the page includes multiple files, it will be saved as a standalone HTML file.

Search Behavior by Mode

The way the Search Bar functions depends on which mode you're using:

Local Mode

• All requests are routed through your local client.
• If your client is not running, you will see an error:
  "This site can't be reached".

Endpoints Mode

• Requests are made through the first available Endpoint server that responds successfully.
• No local software installation is required, but network privacy is reduced compared to Local Mode.

Using the Search Bar ensures smooth navigation and file access within the Autonomi network, adapting seamlessly to your chosen connection mode.
