Local Client

The Local Client brings you closer to the core principles of the Autonomi network by offering enhanced privacy, performance, and control.

What is the Local Client?

The Local Client is a standalone application that runs on your machine, enabling secure and direct communication between the Autonomi network and your browser extension.

It supports Windows, macOS, and Linux, and can be downloaded from the official release page:

Once installed and running, you’ll see the Local Client icon in your system tray or menu bar:

Local Client Interface

The Local Client includes a simple user interface that provides access to key settings and status information.

Checking the Connection

After launching the Local Client, you can verify that it’s connected to the extension by clicking the "Test Local Connection" button within the extension settings.

Ensure that the WebSocket port specified in both the Local Client and the extension settings match.

Port Configuration

You can configure ports for Ant, AntTP, and DWeb directly within the Local Client interface. Any changes you make will be automatically detected by the extension, requiring no manual reconfiguration.
