Cyber Threats Appliance Deployment & Configuration

Physical deployment:

One critical decision for HaloNS cyber security appliance deployment is to decide whether deploying it outside or inside of the firewall. If deployed outside of the perimeter firewall, HaloNS can monitor all the outside traffic but in the meantime potentially introduce more false positive events. Deploying inside of the firewall has the benefit of only monitoring the traffic that passes by the firewall, potentially significantly cut down the noisy data for intrusion analysis. Deploying inside of firewall focuses on complementing the firewall functionality.

Solutions

Location within the network:  A scalable solution through HaloNS cyber security Sensors, allows the monitoring of single or aggregated subnet in your network. The critical decision of implementing on a subnet level is based on subnet critical functionality, subnet traffic volume, risk of service disruption and many other factors related to the enterprise defense-in-depth strategy.

HaloNS offers unique feature that simplify the deployment process, such as detection engines configurations, rule group configuration, target base servers and application , and the intuitive central management CONSOL.

Deployment Modes:

You can deploy the HaloNS or its Sensor as an active gateway or as a passive monitor. Active Gateway modes take full advantage of HaloNS attack prevention capabilities and the various Detection mechanisms.

Passive monitor:  To use HaloNS as a passive system without prevention capabilities, deploy HaloNS in passive sniffer mode to monitor and log network traffic.

HaloNS cyber security mitigation appliance allows your network security professionals to surpass the highest standards in cyber security.
